New colours and upgraded tech

The Lexus LC 500 is hardly the kind of car that will pass you by unnoticed; that’s even less likely now that the company has added new exterior and interior colours to the range, along with some mechanical updates.

The new exterior colour could be described as Fancy Burnt Orange, but is officially called Blazing Carnelian. The new interior colour is a similar shade, called Manhattan Orange. The LC range now also includes Terrane Khaki, a colour borrowed from its UX cousin.

The LC’s adaptive suspension has been upgraded for smoother responses, and now includes Active Cornering Assist (ACA). The control system for the Dynamic Rear Steering has also been improved.

The LC’s steering has been tweaked: improved Variable Gear Ratio Steering and electric power steering control allow for sharper responses and better feel.

The interior update also includes a new infotainment system with Apple Car Play and Android Auto, linked to the standard 17MM+ high resolution audio system.

Power in the LC remains the responsibility of the 5.0 V8 with 351kW / 540Nm, with drive to the rear wheels via a 10-speed auto gearbox; the 0-100km/h time is a very respectable 4.7 seconds.
